Methylsilane

Methylsilane is a new chemical material that is necessary for obtaining high-quality nanocomposites of silicon carbide nanoceramic type «carbon-silicon carbide and surfaces with unique parameters of oxidative and corrosion resistance that preserve the working properties at high temperatures (up to 1900oС).

Lightweight high temperature multifunctional combined energy-saving and life-support protection systems

It is a new class of heat-insulating high-temperature multifunctional combined materials developed in GNIIChTEOS, consisting of fibrous oxide refractories protected by highly heat-resistant coatings based on filled modified silicones. Usage of CPS will allow to solve problems of multi-purpose thermal protection, reduce the weight structures, as well as many times to increase equipment productivity by reducing the cycle "heating-cooling" and reducing the duration of repairs, but also will provide energy-saving effect up to 50%.

CPS meets the world quality certificates, exceeds the indicators of known analogues in terms of a combination of thermal and operational characteristics.

The main field of application is metallurgy – production of ceramic shell forms for high-precision complex-profile casting (up to 2000oC) on the smelted models (blades of gas turbine engines with a directed and single-crystal structure) of products of high-alloy steels, titanium, heat-resistant alloys and refractory metals. 


 

Boron fibers

Boron fibers today remain one of the most popular reinforced material with high mechanical characteristics working under compression and tension. The bulk of the produced fibers go to the production of prepreg tapes with epoxy resin as the matrix. Such belts can be used in aviation for the manufacture of the following parts: horizontal and vertical stabilizers, tail, spar frame, fasteners.

Boron fivers are widely used in sports equipment: fishing rods, tennis rackets, skies, clubs. However, the main purpose of boron fibers is the production of metal composite materials based on aluminum as a matrix, which are successfully used in the form of tubular struts for the frames of reusable spacecraft.
