The unique properties of high-speed vulcanization organosilicon compounds - nontoxicity, resistance to biological media, autoclavability without significant change of properties; absence of sensibilizing, carcinogenic, mutagenic effects, high thrombus resistance as well as extremely low compression strain and shrinkage at vulcanization running without by-products in both open and closed spaces as well as the possibility to vary physical and chemical properties of vulcanizates (from gellike to vitreous state) within wide enough range, period and temperature of curing (including up to 3-5 min at room temperature) allow to use these materials in such fields of medicine as surgery (restorative and cosmetic ones, soft tissue endogenous and exogenous prosthetics) ophthalmology (intraocular optical lenses for short- and long-sightedness, cataract treatment), stomatology (impressions for taking precise imprints of teeth in general and individually) and in many other fields.

On the basis of gellike SIEL 159-445 compound the most famous in the world breast and other soft tissue implants were produced by Mc\'Gan Ltd. USA for a long time. On the basis of SIEL 159-356H compound the domestic orthopedics has been producing high quality breast implants for about a decade. They provide the opportunity of social rehabilitation and return to normal life for postoperative patients. It should be mentioned that only in Russia about 25000?30000 operations per year are conducted in regard of various mammary tumors.

Fast curing and biologycally-inert SIEL I-1 compound is intended for contour plastic surgery of soft tissues and maxillofacial prosthetics. This compound allows correcting various small defects by injection. With the same purpose SIEL 159-467 may be used after the appropriate preparation in the vulcanized state (in the form of various shaped prostheses). It is produced as the articles with the wide range of elasticity modulus (soft, semi rigid etc.), each of them can be readily achieved by the appropriate varying of initial component ratios.

SIEL 159-456 compound is used as a base for specific adhesive bandages facilitating cheloid scar, gravitational ulcer, skin burning healing. This adhesive bandage is nontoxic, does not cause allergic reactions and provides comfort in the process of application.

The most advantageous for consumers are biologically and chemically inert high-pure compounds for eye prosthetics. On the basis of SIEL 159-330 artificial elastic eye lenses were first produced and implanted to the patients with actually full loss of sight in MNTK of eye microsurgery at the beginning of 1980s. Such lenses favorably differ from previously used polymethylmethacrylate ones by elasticity, transparency and biological inertness. SIEL 159-465 having higher strength after vulcanization is intended for the same purposes. Both compounds are employed for intraocular lens production for eyesight correction of people suffering from various Ametropia types (short- or longsightedness of high degree). The intraocular lenses produced from these compounds have zero weight in eye front chamber moisture, average weight in air - 7-10 mg, optical part diameter - about 6 mm, optical part maximum thickness - 0.8 mm, supporting part thickness - about 0.1 mm, total lens length may amount to 11 mm. High elasticity of lens material allows rolling them up while implanting which considerably reduces traumatism during operation.

As is generally known laser eyesight correction is widely used now. However, due to a number of reasons some patients have contradictions to laser operation. In such cases an intraocular lens of required dioptrics can be implanted for the correction of short or lonsightedness respectively. In fact, this contact lens is for life-long wearing and has no faults inherent to lenses of external wearing. SIEL 159-330 is used for such lens manufacturing.

SIEL 159-357 compound of H, A, L brands with high (H), average (A) and low (L) viscosity providing due to zero residual deformation the possibility to take precise imprints of a single tooth or its canal can be used as dental impression for teeth imprints.

All the foregoing compounds consist of two components which parts are blended before use in 1:1 ratio ( SIEL compounds of 159-365N, 159-465, I-1, 159-456, 159-445, 159-357 brands) or 10:1 ratio (SIEL compounds of 159-330, 159-467 brands).

All the compounds are highly transparent excluding flesh-colored SIEL compound of 159-356N brand and SIEL 159-357 which parts are colored yellow and blue respectively, therefore when these parts are being blended the compound becomes uniformly green which is extremely suitable for quality control over blending.
